It uses the standard open fingering system of the Piva Piemontese with a chanter in D⁴ (440 Hz). Everything you learn on this student model transfers identically to traditional wooden Piva models.

What other instruments can I play alongside?

The A = 440 Hz tuning allows you to play either solo for practice or in ensembles with accordions, hurdy-gurdies, flutes, and other acoustic or electric instruments.

Absolutely. This model was designed specifically as a learning tool: it helps you build muscle memory and master bag pressure control, making the transition to a wooden Piva immediate and effortless.

What is included in the package?

The Student Bagpipe includes the detachable chanter with blowpipe for practice use, the bag with bag cover, the bass drone, and synthetic reeds. The carrying case is not included.
